Executive Director of Design, BH Elite

Stephen Yerrakadu

One can never consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar.

Helen Keller

With over 22 years of experience in dynamic, high profile, and diverse architecture and real estate development projects, Stephen Yerrakadu serves as the Executive Director of Design, BH Elite. Providing strong practice-based management and accountability, Stephen leads the architecture and interior design teams through an integrated cross-functional delivery process that is unique to Blue Heron.

An award-winning residential designer, Stephen’s collaborative approach serves as a resource to his peers and a mentor to his team. His extensive experience has included designing and developing projects ranging from a $700 million portfolio of luxury hotel-condo towers to building rehab homes for families in need, some with budgets as low as $500. His roles have included serving as Director of Design for AV Homes, Senior Architectural Designer for Toll Brothers, and Senior Vice President of Real Estate Development for Fuel Group, a luxury hotel and condominium developer in Florida.

Born and raised in New York City, Stephen’s passion for housing was inspired by volunteering at his church’s homeless shelter with his father beginning at the age of nine. That same passion has continued to date, and he has served on the board of directors at various nonprofits tending to the housing needs of veterans, homeless youth, the disabled, and seniors.

He is a graduate of Cornell University School of Architecture and the acclaimed United Nations International School in Manhattan.
