  • Architectural Photographer

    The Blue Heron marketing department is expanding! The new Architectural Photographer will work closely with Blue Heron’s Marketing and Vision departments to bring the Blue Heron products to life.

    The right candidate for this positions will understand the importance of representing a brand in their imagery and best practices for capturing stunning interior and exterior architectural photography, as well as Home-oriented lifestyle imagery. Photos captured by the Architectural Photographer will be used to establish and build the luxurious Blue Heron brand, sell properties, create brand content, and more.

    In addition to architecture, the new Blue Heron Architectural Photographer will have experience shooting:

    • Real Estate
    • Events
    • Portrait
    • Lifestyle
    • Videography experience isn’t required, but a plus!

    Day-to-day work may vary, but the Architectural Photographer will focus the bulk of their work around:

    • Creating and iterating with the Blue Heron teams on shot lists.
    • Capturing high quality photography with a variety of techniques and equipment.
    • Utilizing the time of day, season, location, and more to determine when and how to capture the best shots for the Blue Heron brand.
    • Using a drone to capture breathtaking imagery of Blue Heron Homes.
    • Editing all imagery in a timely fashion.
    • Present creative solutions and new ideas to bring the Blue Heron brand to the next level.
    • Creating and managing the BH photography and video asset library.
    • Managing and upkeeping of all equipment.

    The successful candidate will understand the need for working off hours, frequent standing, sitting, walking, driving, etc. as the job calls for.

    The Architectural Photographer will meet the following minimum qualifications to be successful in this role:

    • At least 3 years of experience shooting architectural photography.
    • Strong professional communication skills to coordinate between departments.
    • Experience working with an established brand and understanding of how to adhere to brand standards, especially for a luxury brand.
    • Existing portfolio for review.
    • Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Appreciate and understand the importance of deadlines and he ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple responsibilities, changing priorities, etc.

    • Drone photography experience and proper required licensing.
    • Working with storyboards, scripts, and shooting video.
    • Experience with video editing software and producing high quality videos.

  • Communities Construction Manager
    Essential Qualifications:
    • 5-10 years as a lead construction manager.
    • Ability to manage 6-8 Community Home Projects at once.
    • Ability to schedule, complete daily logs, and have good computer skills.
    • Working knowledge of various builder software.
    • Works well with other team members.
    • Osha 30.
    Responsibilities:
    • Perform key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed.
    • Demonstrate leadership in health, safety and environmental protection on the project.
    • Apply the requirements of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to promote overall compliance of Blue Heron’s standards, regulations and codes with all employees and subcontractors on the project.
    • Ensure project materials are supplied and work is completed in compliance with the Project Schedule and the standards of Blue Heron’s Quality Program.
    • Ensure that projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes that high-quality standards are maintained.
    • Develop, maintain and drive the construction schedule in conjunction with project team; ensure project milestones and completion dates are met.
    • Strategically plan and implement manpower levels and material quantities and ensure proper equipment and trades are available as required
    • Assume a leadership role and provide guidance and support to project team members in order to contribute to the success of the project.
    • Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support the projects ongoing progression.
    • Oversee project reporting that accurately tracks site progress, events, inspections and other relevant information.
    • Communicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phases of each home.
    • Coordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project which include the architects, consultants, contractors, subcontractors and laborers.
    • Identify the elements of project design and construction issues likely to give rise to dispute and claims.
    • Serve as a key link with the clients – coordinate and communicate with Sales and Interior Design throughout the life of home construction.

  • Corporate Communications Specialist

    The Blue Heron marketing department is looking for an experienced copywriter to fill the role of Corporate Communications Specialist. The right candidate for this position will have a strong portfolio of writing experience from brand development to sales enablement.

    Day-to-day work may vary, but the Corporate Communications Specialist will focus the bulk of their work around brand development, marketing campaigns, corporate comms, and sales enablement – including:

    • Diving into and understanding our target market from the inside out in order to craft compelling copy.
    • Owning the Blue Heron brand voice alongside the Marketing Director and Brand & Communications Manager.
    • Working with the team to continually develop the Blue Heron style and voice guides.
    • Understanding and evolving how the brand sounds in a variety of applications, like real estate listings and client communications.
    • Collaborating with the marketing team to strategize, develop, and execute marketing copy for:
      • BlueHeron.com and SEO (lading page copy).
      • The Blue Heron blog.
      • Social media channels.
      • Email marketing.
      • Paid advertising (SEM, social, etc.).
      • Billboards.
      • Direct mail.
      • Video storyboarding/scripting.
    • Partnering with graphic designers to develop visually compelling materials.
    • Assisting with internal communications.
    • Supporting press releases and additional PR materials.
    • Working with the marketing team to develop sales enablement materials such as real estate listings, flyers, email, etc.

    The Corporate Communications Specialist must meet the following minimum qualifications:

    • Powerful attention to detail.
    • 3-5 years of proven copywriting experience, including creative copy, long form, and short form.
    • Strong at writing sales-initiating materials.
    • Able to adapt to brand standards (multiple at a time) and write on behalf of an organization or its individuals.
    • Deadline-oriented with solid organizational skills that enable quick turnaround times.
    • Flexible professional with a can-do attitude.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

    The following qualifications are not required, but are a plus:

    • CRM and CMS experience.
    • Familiarity with the AP Stylebook.
    • Writing for social media channels.
    • Advertising copywriting experience.
    • Real estate writing experience.

    Essential Qualifications:

    • A college degree in a Construction related field is ideal. An equivalent number of years of experience will also satisfy the education requirement.
    • Should have 3-5 years of commercial and/or high-end residential experience.
    • Good communication and strong teamwork skills are necessary.

  • Graphic Designer

    The Blue Heron marketing department is looking for an experienced Graphic Designer. The right candidate for this position will have a strong portfolio of creative developments for both digital and print.

    Day-to-day work may vary, but the Graphic Designer will focus the bulk of their work around:

    • Understanding the target market and adapting designs to their desires.
    • Designing and optimizing for BlueHeron.com.
    • Brand development and adhering to Blue Heron’s brand guidelines.
    • Working with the team (including an existing graphic designer) to develop compelling visuals for print, digital, out of home, signage, email marketing, social media, and more.
      • This includes strategizing, concepting, and developing new materials.
    • Developing sales enablement materials to support our sales teams’ needs.

    Blue Heron’s newest graphic designer must meet the following minimum qualifications:

    • At least 3 years of proven graphic design experience.
    • Proficient with Creative Cloud Suite.
    • Powerful attention to detail.

  • Production Specialist

    Blue Heron is seeking a full-time Production Specialist to join our growing Custom Home Design/Build firm in Las Vegas, Nevada.

    Essential Qualifications:

    • Bachelor or Associate degree in a related field or commensurate experience required
    • 3+ years of design experience in the professional services industry, preferably A/E/C firm
    • Expertise in using and supporting the current versions of AutoCAD and Revit
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
    • Proficiency in creating Revit content/families, setting up models for production and optimizing Revit workflows
    • Strong spoken and written communications skills
    • Excellent organization and time management skills
    • Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes
    • Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
    • Effective working individually and within team environments
    Responsibilities:
    • Participation in pre-design project activities, such as: site and building assessments; zoning ordinance and site plan review and approvals; building code review; and other project related research.

    • Project and product-related research, including Internet, Intranet, library, and site visits

      • Ability to understand basic structural systems and the impact to structure of modification to conceptual designs
      • Compose and refine programmatic elements utilizing a variety of stylistic palettes
      • Understand and apply appropriate responses with issues of placement of structure on sloped/challenging lots and the various topographic and/or site-specific standards
    • Keep accurate documentation of BH submittals and decisions
    • Follow up on BH requests and outstanding information in a timely fashion
    • Perform periodic inspections on site or with photos to ensure compliance with the BH approval
    • Respond to plan check comments with local jurisdictions and HOA’s
    • Perform other duties as requested
    • Iterate and develop Architectural and Interior Design concepts in collaboration with the project design team
    • Create and manage 3D design models
    • Manage design assignments and support project design team with research, client meetings and technical drawings

  • Project Manager

    Blue Heron is seeking a full-time Project Manager to join our growing Custom Home Design/Build firm in Las Vegas, Nevada.

    Essential Qualifications:

    • Degree in Construction, Engineering, Design or Architecture
    • Proven experience in custom Design/Build Project Management
    • Experience with project financial reporting, risk management, and development of design/construction schedules
    • Working knowledge of client and trade contracts
    • Experience with buying out trade contracts and negotiations
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office. Procore experience a plus!
    Responsibilities:
    • Management of the overall process of the project delivery from initial sales agreement through the turn-over of the complete home.
    • Accurate tracking of budget, cost, forecast and schedule.
    • Working closely with the Project Design Manager and Construction Manager to ensure budget, quality and schedule demands are met.
    • Provide leadership of the internal team and clients to ensure client satisfaction.
    • Managing and working with all departments making up the project team during the respective phase of the project.
    • Following up with the team to ensure that all deliverables are being completed in accordance with the project schedule.
    • Management of prime contract and trade contracts.

  • Vision Designer
    Essential Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, and over 2 years of relevant experience within a professional AEC design firm OR Master’s in Architecture degree, and over 1 year of relevant experience within a professional AEC design firm; Related design degrees will be considered.
    • An additional 3 years of relevant design experience in lieu of educational requirements will be considered
    • Advanced proficiency in Trimble Sketch-Up and Autodesk Revit
    • Basic proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Suite
    • Additional preferred skills: General knowledge of IBC and IRC, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere, or other video-editing programs, Act-3D Lumion, Enscape, Familiarity with Virtual Reality hardware and software
