  • Accounts Payable Administrator

    The AP administrator is responsible for providing timely, relevant, and accurate financial information as well as safeguarding company assets with specific attention to cash. This includes the timely entry and accurate payment of open, aging invoices and application against commitments and the maintenance of company open aging payables, holds, credits and contract reductions. The Accounts Payable Administrator reports to the AP Supervisor.

    Responsibilities:
    • Accurately review, code and process invoices in Sage 300 CRE both manually and electronically.
    • Enter and route invoices for approval through Sage Paperless in a timely manner.
    • Ensure proper job costing of invoices and payments where applicable.
    • Prepare appropriate supporting documentation for check cycle and ensure vendors are paid within agreed upon terms.
    • Notify and obtain required lien releases from vendors and set up and maintain vendor 1099 and insurance information.
    • Assist in saving and electronically filing digital documentation as required including recording of electronic payments.
    • Review invoices in AP mail in-box and address any pressing items, queries, check requests, expense report reimbursement, statement research, payment history, and any other requests as needed.
    • Assist with end-of month closing audit and accruals. 
    • Interact with and support in-house project teams and work with vendors to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
    Essential Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
    • 1-3 years’ experience with accounts payable or general accounting preferred.
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Sage 300 CRE.
    • Sage Paperless, Procore, HomeFront, and BuildPro experience preferred.

  • Communities Construction Manager

    Oversees the daily management, coordination, supervision and successful completion of projects within Blue Heron’s Community division.

    Essential Qualifications:
    • Must have 5-10 years as a lead construction manager.

    The IDA will assist the Interior Designers in all aspects of projects, including development of presentations for design concepts that satisfy the client’s aesthetic preferences, specifying finishes and materials based on the client’s budgetary requirements, adhering to project timelines, interior modeling in SketchUp, and overall documentation of the project.

    Responsibilities:
    • Work closely with the Project Design Managers, Project Managers, and other support teams to prepare design deliverables such as Construction Documents and specifications.
    • Production of high-quality Design and Construction Deliverables utilizing REVIT

    Blue Heron is seeking a full-time Project Accountant to join our growing Design-Led Development firm. 

    Responsibilities:
    • Plan, organize and prepare monthly draw packages for assigned clients/projects; including reconciliation of job cost, budget-to-draw updates, change orders and restricted cash accounts.
    • Maintain the billing folders for all projects, with all the appropriate documents
    • Work with the Project Managers and project teams to ensure alignment on draws, budgets, change orders and all other project related issues

    Responsibilities:
    • Coordinate with team through project design development aligned with scope, cost, design hours forecasting and schedules.
    • Responsible for regular communications with Client on project status, issues and accounting related tasks and information.
    • Ensure accurate tracking of invoicing, PO’s, lead times, budget, cost, design hours forecast and schedule.  Working with the Project Interior Designer for the tracking of the project design hours and schedule, with the use of the work plan/task list.

  • Senior Accountant

    The Senior Accountant is part of accounting team that is responsible for providing timely, relevant and accurate financial information as well as safeguarding company assets. The Senior Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager. This position will work with other members within and outside of the department to gather information required to present financial information and/or complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner.

    Responsibilities:
    • The Senior Accountant will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
    • Assists with analysis of accounting, auditing and budgeting activities within the organization to include journal entries, intercompany entries and variance analyses
    • Works to reconcile accounting inaccuracies or imbalances.
    • Ensures compliance with and prepares reports according to applicable government regulations as needed
    • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
    • Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of bank reconciliations as needed.
    • Prepare invoices to clients as needed and process cash receipts
    • Respond to information requests in an accurate and timely manner
    • Assist with preparing supporting schedules and providing documentation for audits and tax returns as needed.
    • May be asked to take the lead on certain projects involving multiple accounting staff, or members of other departments.
    Essential Qualifications:
    • 3-5 years of experience minimum as a financial statement/general ledger accountant in land development, construction, or related field.
    • B.S. in Accounting from a 4 year accredited institution.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an intermediate or higher proficiency in Excel preferred
    • Sage 300 CRE, Sage Paperless, Procore, HomeFront, BuildPro and IHMS experience preferred.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Senior Interior Designer – Furnishings

    Blue Heron is seeking a full-time Senior Interior Designer (for Furnishings) to join our growing Design-Led Development firm. 

    Responsibilities:
    • Oversee all tasks related to the creation of aesthetically pleasing interior spaces, including space planning, Furnishings and Fixtures specifications, overall color palette, and the coordination of Furnishings to enhance and honor the architectural elements within interior and exterior spaces.
    • Create and maintain all documentation related to the Furnishings Design process, such as Master Tracker of all furnishings, pricing, lead times, specifications manuals and ensure that the design vision is accurately implemented, and budgets are adhered to.
    • Work in tandem with ID and PDM to provide input and coordinate outlet and Jbox placements, clearances for furniture layouts, hardscape sizes and orientations, fire feature locations and orientations, hard finishes selected.
    • Ensure deliveries are coordinated and scheduled and proper notification is given to the client.
    • Be present for delivery and install to ensure all items are handled with utmost care, client’s home is protected from possible damage and all packing materials are removed from home.
    • Oversee and direct placement and installation of all furnishings, art and accessories.
    • Advocate routine and consistent use of project management, production and design software including, Studio Designer 2.0, Sketch Up, Bluebeam and Procore within the Furnishings Division interior design staff supporting Blue Heron company mission and goals.
    • Foster and continually develop vendor and trade relations seeking new resources and effective and efficient pricing for products that will be incorporated into Blue Heron preferred trade partners.
    • Attend bi-weekly meetings with developed agendas to ensure coordination with all relevant Blue Heron departments while maintaining project schedules.

      • Client Meetings
      • Field Site Visits as needed
      • Internal Team Collaboration Meetings (as applicable)
    Essential Qualifications:
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize project workload and time sensitive tasks

    • Strong working knowledge of software including Sketch Up, Bluebeam, IHMS (or other builder software) and Microsoft Office (to include Outlook, Excel and Word)
    • Bachelor’s Degree in interior design or related field preferred
    • Requires 5 to 10 years of related experience in a Builder Showroom or professional design firm

    Essential Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
    • Over two years of relevant experience within a professional AEC design firm OR Master’s degree in Architecture degree with over one year of relevant experience within a professional AEC design firm
      • Related design degrees will be considered.
      • An additional three years of relevant design experience in lieu of educational requirements will be considered.
    • Advanced proficiency in Trimble Sketch-Up and Autodesk Revit.
    • Basic proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Suite.
