President of BH Furnishings

Kathy May

When you help someone else up a mountain, you find yourself that much closer to the top

With over 35 years of interior design experience specializing in luxury residential, hospitality, and commercial design, Kathy May serves as President of BH Furnishings, where she oversees the strategy for the division, including planning, design direction, strategic partnerships, and the company vision.

Born and raised in a small town in the Mississippi Delta, Kathy spent her childhood renovating the antebellum home she grew up in with her family. This gave her a deep love and appreciation for architecture, design, and construction. She fondly recalls creating floor plans for houses as a child using pine needles from the ground and loved memorizing interiors from magazines her mother would buy her.

Kathy owned several design firms in Mississippi and Louisiana before moving to Las Vegas, where she spent four years working as director of design and development at the CityCenter, the largest privately funded development in the history of the United States. At CityCenter, Kathy created the Residential Design Division. She oversaw the design and construction for 2,400 private residential condominiums and penthouses, working closely with sales executives and buyers to determine the perfect home, and customizing it to their specific desires. Kathy also owned and operated ReMix Interiors, a full-service design firm for 27 years.

A graduate of Delta State University, Kathy is dedicated to the development of long-term client relationships and helping them achieve their dream Home. At Blue Heron, Kathy is inspired to be working with a select team of design professionals she believes are the most talented, honest, and hardworking in the business.
