As the Founder of Blue Heron, Tyler Jones is the creative and visionary force behind the firm, responsible for its culture, design philosophy, brand purpose, key partnerships, and new market strategy.
A fourth-generation Nevadan raised in Las Vegas, Tyler learned the construction trade starting at a young age from his father Steve, the founder of nationally recognized Merlin Custom Home Builders. After studying architecture at the University of Colorado Boulder, Tyler returned to Las Vegas and founded Blue Heron in 2004. Years of pushing boundaries through architecture and construction ultimately paved the way for Vegas Modern™, a distinct design philosophy, now known synonymously with Blue Heron Homes.
Always determined to push the status quo, Tyler remains deeply committed to transforming construction and design, focusing on the vision, the craft, and the client relationships that make Blue Heron unlike anyone else in the industry. His leadership continues to shape the design experience and long-range direction of the firm as Blue Heron expands into new markets.
Under Tyler’s visionary leadership, Blue Heron has won numerous industry design awards and has achieved Platinum LEED certification by the U.S. Green Building Council, and Emerald certification by the National Green Building Standard.
