    • INTERIOR DESIGN ASSISTANT - FURNISHINGS

      Blue Heron is seeking a full-time Interior Design Assistant to join our growing Custom Home Design/Build firm. The Furnishings Interior Design Assistant will assist the Furnishings Interior Design Staff with all design aspects of the project, including the selection and documentation of furnishings, materials and finishes, art, accessories, window treatments, specialty finishes and overall documentation of the project.

      Essential Qualifications:
      • Proficient in Sketchup, Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
      • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design preferred
      • Experience working in the residential homebuilding industry and/or with the public preferred
      • Detail oriented, team focused, and the ability to independently solve problems

      Responsibilities:
      • Create all supporting documentation required in the Furnishings Interior Design process
      • Assist interior designers with the selection and documentation of furnishings, materials, finishes, art, accessories, window treatments and specialty finishes
      • Work within Sketchup 3D models to prepare furniture layouts, build furniture, etc
      • Create dimensioned furniture layouts within a DWF
      • Create Power Point presentations
      • Create and maintain specifications manuals and Project Tracking Documents

    • PROJECT MANAGER - CONSTRUCTION

      Blue Heron is seeking a full-time Construction Project Manager to join our growing Custom Home Design/Build firm.

      Essential Qualifications:
      • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction projects
      • Excellent communication skills
      • Good understanding of MEP building systems
      • Thorough knowledge of legal issues and safety standards is essential
      • Ability to plan and organize a team effort
      • Good client management and goodwill building ability
      • Capacity to motivate, lead and boost morale of the teams
      • Effective time management and logical decision-making ability
      • Capacity to handle pressure
      • Willingness to travel extensively across the construction sites.

      Responsibilities:
      • Perform key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed
      • Demonstrate leadership in health, safety and environmental protection on the project. Apply the requirements of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to promote overall compliance of Blue Heron’s standards, regulations and codes with all employees and subcontractors on the project.
      • Ensure project materials are supplied and work is completed in compliance with the Project Schedule and to the standards of Blue Herons Quality Program.
      • Ensure that projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes and that high quality standards are maintained.
      • Develop, maintain and drive the construction schedule in conjunction with project team; ensure project milestones and completion dates are met.
      • Strategically plan and implement manpower levels and material quantities and ensure proper equipment and trades are available as required
      • Assume a leadership role and provide guidance to project team members in order to contribute to the success of the project.
      • Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support the projects ongoing progression.
      • Oversee project reporting that accurately tracks site progress, events, inspections and other relevant information.
      • Communicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phases of each home
      • Coordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the architects, consultants, contractors, sub-contractors and laborers
      • Identify the elements of project design and construction issues likely to give rise to disputes and claims

      Essential Qualifications:
      • Producing and developing Architectural and Interior design concepts with the Architectural Project Managers and/or Interior Designers
      • Assisting Architectural Project Managers and/or Interior Designers with client design presentations, meetings, and design research

    • STAFF (DRAW) ACCOUNTANT

      Blue Heron is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to join our growing Custom Home Design/Build firm.

      Essential Qualifications:
      • Accounting Degree, or previous Accounting experience, preferably in Construction
      • Proficient in Excel
      • Experience working with multiple companies

      Responsibilities:
      • Plan, organize and prepare monthly draw packages for assigned clients / projects; including reconciliation of job cost, budget-to-draw updates, interior design amendments, cash deposits, and restricted cash account reconciliations.
      • Assist in the preparation and maintaining of Blue Heron Companies and related entities financial books, including preparation of JE’s, deposits, and account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
      • Understand the Accounts Payable process in its entirety to function as the emergency A/P backup if needed.
      • Assist with monthly Bank Account Reconciliations.
      • Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time-to-time – quite often on short notice – by the Assistant Controller or Controller.
      • Maintain a high level of customer service to both our internal and external customers, including Blue Heron Clients, Blue Heron employees, Vendors and Blue Heron Trade Partners.

      Blue Heron is seeking a full-time Communities Purchasing Manager to join our growing Custom Home Design/Build firm. The Communities Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of purchasing for Blue Heron communities.

      Essential Qualifications:
      • A college degree in an accounting or construction related field is preferred
      • 5+ years of prior Purchasing experience with 2+ years in a management position
      • Must be able to analyze blueprints and be able to explain it to others
      • Interpersonal skills are essential
      • Proficiency in using Procore, Microsoft Office Suite, and IHMS software.

      Responsibilities:
      • Oversee Purchasing Agents, delegate work, establish goals and deadlines, provide mentoring and evaluate performance.
      • Work closely with the Purchasing Manager to ensure all work is contracted in a timely manner, while ensuring that all work is being subcontracted.
      • Assist in setting up communities in the IHMS software program, creating standards, options and pricing.

      Blue Heron is seeking a full-time Estimator to join our growing Custom Home Design/Build firm. The Estimator is responsible for generating the project budget and controlling that cost throughout design changes and value engineering.

      Essential Qualifications:
      • A college degree in a construction related field is preferred
      • 3+ years of commercial and/or residential experience
      • Must be able to analyze blueprints and be able to explain it to others
      • Interpersonal skills are essential
      • Should be proficient with Procore, the Microsoft Office suite of programs and On-Screen Takeoff.

      Responsibilities:
      • Work under the direct supervision of the Chief Estimator/Purchasing Manager.
      • Use project drawings and specifications to request bids for subcontractors/vendors.
      • Perform quantity takeoffs from the plans to help establish scopes of work.
      • Coordinate project requirements with design and purchasing personnel to ensure completeness in subcontracted work.

      • 2+ years of prior purchasing experience
      • Must be able to analyze blueprints and be able to explain it to others
      • Interpersonal skills are essential
      • Proficiency in using Procore, Microsoft Office Suite.  Knowledge of IHMS software is desirable.

      Responsibilities:
